I'm a woman and Often have my hair up, so with the medium sizeeven at the furthest expanded opening it was difficult(if not impossible at times) to get my glasses back on after removing them. The mediums did hold the glasses in place during a variety of activities, as needed, but due to the challenges they posed I decided to return for the large size. Unfortunately, the ear-piece attachment is different and much more bulky on the large than medium, which is bothersome and they do not go tight enough to fit snug(wire around head pulled tight) to prevent the glasses from obnoxiously shifting and sliding around on my face(intended use), so, reluctantly, I'm going to have to send them back once again to exchange for the mediums. These are the best built most functional ease of use holders I have ever purchased, and have tried many other brands that just don’t work well and have that ponytail look. These are not cheap cotton cords. They are constructed with a strong plastic wire with 2 adjustable retaining tabs. The rubber ends accommodate small glasses ends like those on silhouette brand. The reason I was looking for a different brand of glasses holder, my previous purchase worked well enough for a short while. The part that connects to the temple on the glasses started to become loose and once and awhile would fall off. Not a big deal until you are fishing standing in a river and you are not exactly sure how it happened, but your glasses are suddenly off your face and falling into a river with no hope of catching or recovering them.These have a very good hold on the temple part of my glasses and the way the strap part is designed. it holds in place and does not loosen just from wearing them. (previous brand slipped often)At first you will get annoyed until you find the right length to allow you to take you glasses on and off without too much fuss. Now that I have found the correct length and I can put on and take off my glasses without having to constantly adjust the strap or tighten the strap because wearing it and moving around the strap just starts to slip and become loose. Now I wear my glasses with great confidence knowing they will not pop off or become loose from just wearing them.I also chose this style because I really do not like the tail that are on some different styles. With my activities that tail could and would get cought on things or just generally be in the way. And when the previous brand would loosen from wear, the extra length would make it difficult to wear the hood on my rain jacket or a knit cap to keep the ears warm.Yes, properly fitted glasses stay on unless you are an active person. I am active and my properly fitted glasses stayed on while doing normal activities. When I was doing my active hobbies, they were prone to falling off. If I ever need to replace these, I will definitely buy these again.

I keep a pair of glasses in my gym bag with the strap attached. I like that they are adjustable and my glasses are not pulled tight against my face.

I have just put these on having received them within the hour, and I must say, these are GREAT! Fantastic!! For years I have been searching for strap holders for eyeglasses that doesn't make me look like an old librarian on a 1962 TV show. Those searches were fruitless. I had given up when, still owning a pair of glasses that I refer to as my "Ghandi's", I could no longer wear them as they kept falling off. Something about the listing of these on Amazon made me gamble on ordering them. And I am SO glad I did! These are built to last, easy to put on, adjust to hold tight to my head, and look fashionably neutral. Men--these are for YOU. The daughter used these for a training exercise going through the dirt, water and mud. Said they fit well behind her head and she barely noticed they were on.

I bought these in combination with a pair of polarized sunglasses for a friend who does lots of gardening and fishing. She also loses her sunglasses frequently! She has used this product and says "I haven't lost the sunglasses yet!" :)

Short enough to stay on, but long enough to take off head. Lightweight especially in Florida sun.

earlier glasses holder that I got had a long tail That dirtied my shirt collars. This does not have a tail So it's much preferable.

These are much better than the old style. They can be a bit on small side if you want them to hang. But very comfortable to wear while keeping track of your glasses.
