SMITH Embark Copper Blue

After trying several other high end brands, Smith Optics fit my face perfectly right out of the box. While I assumed the lens color and finish would've been a little more "mirror-ish", I am a huge fan of the clarity and crisp detail. Being a newbie to transition-style lenses, I probably overestimated how much a difference they would provide going from a Cat 2 to Cat 4 level darkness. Even in the brightest FL sunshine and not seeming like they are very dark, they are still extremely effective at cutting glare and providing eye relief. I'm quite confident they will serve me well for our upcoming ABC and EBC treks before our Kili trek in January.

I just got LASIK and after purchasing my first ever pair of sunglasses these were perfect. They fit well not perfect maybe a tiny bit small. Overall these might've been the best sunglasses I could've bought.

The sunglasses were high quality glasses and looked fine on. The thing I didn’t like was that the branding on the temples was SO big. Smith isn’t a well known brand and is such a common name that I felt like it cheapened them. I didn’t keep them.

Awesome pair of glasses

Great American quality, the clearest lenses and blocks sunlight. The lenses are interchangeable. Nothing like it on the market. Very light.

i have been a longtime costa customer of there Lido model. this embark from smith resembled there model pretty close and was hesitant to purchase but i am glad i did. I do have a slightly wider head but the arms on these glasses have the metal wire in the rear that is bendable and moldable to your head so they give a very nice locked on feel when you get them adjusted right. I am very pleased with the fit and finish and quality is great! the only thing i would like to see smith do is introduce more Glass lens models and colors please because durability is my top priority when purchasing a premium set of glasses and these are definitely going to be my go to!

Great Glasses. You can see in low and bright light without squinting at all. They fit well and block out the light from all angles. Used on a glacier. Only I missed placed the strap and I'm not sure if I can buy a replacement because the glasses are a little wide for my head and if I shake my head a bit looking down they will not grip well and fall.

This is the best outdoor sunglasses that I have owned. They have a very comfortable fit, and the side shields will be helpful this winter with the glare when doing snow activities

These sunglasses are amazing! I needed something that would stay put as I hiked or walked, and also block too my sun without dampening the colors I love to see. These are perfect! I love them. I was so happy to find sunglasses with Chromo-pop or whatever allows the color to be so vibrant. The price was good compared to other sunglasses of similar quality.

Excellent for fishing in sunny condition

As someone who does a lot, I have absolutely loved these glasses. Whether I'm knee deep in a river fly fishing or knee deep powder these glasses always seem to fit the activity.

Great glasses. Work perfect on and off water. Also the warranty and customer service with Smith is amazing. Will be a lifetime buyer from Smith. 10/10.

I bought these as an alternative to z87 frames. Very happy. The guards do snap into place near the temple. They feel larger than a medium size frame and slide around a little. I don't notice any glacial tinting feature, however the coating and visibility are fantastic, very happy.

The Embark's run true to size, have stylish look with great blind spot coverage, have been great at the ball field, on the water, or just cruising down the road.

The new Glacier Photochromic lens is incredible with adaptability in any light condition whether it be overcast or full bright sunlight. The side shields are a great optional feature for more coverage/protection if you need it. Highly recommend to any avid adventurer!

I've had many Smith sunglasses over the years and while I hemmed and hawed at first before buying these, but I couldn't be more pleased with the Embark

Excellent product

I bought the glasses for days when it was too warm for goggles. These glasses are perfect for those days. The side shields protect your eyes, and the glass changes based on lighting conditions to give you visibility and eye protection no matter what the light conditions.

Great fit, light and breathable.

I generally try to wear goggles the least amount possible since I run really hot. These are a perfect alternative. I have not had a chance to board with these on, but tried these on with my gear and I think I’ll be wearing these every day it’s not dumping snow/raining. I decided to use them when taking a walk outside (85°F and humid), and I had no problems with sweat getting on the lenses. I also think there’s no way these are coming off my face, even without the strap. I will be getting a photochromic pair when they go on sale!

Super Sonnenbrille, sehr kontrastreich. Kein seitlicher Lichteinfall mehr. Man sollte allerdings etwas mehr den Kopf drehen, um auch wirklich alles wahrzunehmen.

I've worn Smith Optics since I started my guiding career, and the Embark frames are by far the best frames I've ever had. The side shields don't allow any wind to get behind the glasses if you happen to look back while running the boat. And they keep my laser focused!!!

They real help cut the glare on the water

I love my Smiths. I've got a handful of them, but this is my first pair of this model. The fit is quite good. The arms are slightly bulky if you're a wearer of hats and have a relatively shallow crown like I do. The side shades are great, but beware that the air flow is limited (which is hard to avoid with any good glasses that wrap) and you'll likely get some fogging on this hot/sweaty days.
